How scientists are learning to move living mitochondria between cells
Researchers are using liquid-liquid phase separation, a natural process that organises molecules into distinct regions within cells, to isolate and transfer metabolically active mitochondria between cells. This technique could eventually help address diseases where mitochondrial function fails.
